Wonder where this takes you? ↗

You might like this if...

You want several sides of Seoul — without crossing the whole city to find them.

One thing people keep saying...

The sky turns pink. Suddenly, everyone's taking photos of the tower.

Before you go...

Check the weather before you commit.

A lot of this day happens outside, from the lake to the river.

Don't build the day around one café.

Songridan-gil gives you plenty of options, so keep walking if the first one is packed.

Bring one more layer than you think you'll need.

The Han River can feel much cooler once the sun goes down.

Here in early April?

Check the bloom forecast — if the cherry blossoms are out, don't miss the full loop around Seokchon Lake.

Want to squeeze in some duty-free shopping?

Lotte Duty Free's World Tower store is right by the lake. Bring your passport and make it an easy detour before Songridan-gil.

Theme park superfan?

Ignore this entire plan and go to Lotte World. Seriously. It's right here.

  1. 14:00

    Start with the lake

Start on the quieter side of Seokchon Lake and follow the water. Lotte World Tower will keep slipping in and out of view as you walk.

tipDon't rush the loop. If the water is still, look for the tower appearing in the lake as well as above it.

  2. 16:00

    Find your café

Leave the lake for Songridan-gil and pick a dessert café that catches you. No need to chase one famous address — if somewhere is packed, keep walking.

altAnother café is usually only a few steps away. Pick the one you actually want to stay in.

  3. 17:30

Make your way to the river

When you're ready to move again, head toward the Han River. The smaller streets disappear and suddenly Seoul feels wide open.

altSave your legs for the river if you want. A short taxi ride works just as well.

  4. 18:00

    Stay for the changing sky

Find a place by the river and stay awhile. Watch the skyline change as daylight gives way to the city lights.

noteDon't chase the next stop. This is the stop.

End with ramen by the Han

Grab ramen from a convenience store, add chicken or a beer if you feel like it, and bring everything back to the river. Nothing fancy — that's the point.

noteThe tower has followed you through most of the day. Now let the river have the last word.
